Cafe le Monde

This weekend was spent in tech rehearsals for the Friday opening of Cafe le Monde. All is going well and we're excited to share our labors with the world. It feels like we have been preparing a delicious buffet for several weeks, and now it's time for hungry patrons to dine on the many surprises we have prepared.

Easter camping

We traded eggs, candy, and even bunny paraphernalia for our first camping trip. We headed north to Malibu Creek State Park, which feels amazingly remote for a fairly short drive; we hope to jaunt up there often. The new gear was great and we had fun setting up the tent and walking around the camp area. This was our tester trip to check out the campsite and see if we had everything we need. Next time we're bringing firewood so we can camp-out proper! Poor Zach forgot his jammies and was cold in his day clothes. I was nicely bundled in layers of fleece and stayed quite toasty in our giant sleeping bag.
