Apartment Therapy

When we first moved into our little guest house that I oh-so-love, I spent hours on a website called Apartment Therapy, ogling beautiful small spaces for inspiration.

Fast forward 2 1/2 years, and a friend suggested that we submit our place to be features in AT's "home tour" blog series. So I did. And even if they don't pick us, I love having these pictures of the place. So many things we own have a story, from the art that's made by people we know, to something I fell in love with at a thrift store, to our couch which we literally found on the sidewalk (it was our neighbor's, so it's not gross like the sounds!).

What are you doing New Years, New Years Day?

As a New Year baby, birthdays are always a little wonky. The good news is that if I I have New Year Eve plans I get to be out and about with friends. The bad news is in recent years there have been birthdays spent in cars and planes for holiday travel. And I have never celebrated in Los Angeles.

This year, I did it up right. Threw myself a party where there was wonderful food and wonderful people. Bunnies roamed. Photos were taken. Some homemade decorations were strung. My friends Jason & Amanda even came over 2 hours early to help with food prep and making things pretty. Here are a few of my favorite pics from the evening...
