The Bunny Rules

- The bunny is not allowed in the house.
- OK, the bunny is allowed in the house, but only in certain rooms.
- The bunny is allowed in all rooms, but has to stay off the furniture.
- The bunny can get on the old furniture only.
- Fine, the bunny is allowed on all the furniture, but is not allowed to sleep with humans, on the bed.
- OK, the bunny is allowed on the bed, but only by invitation.
- The bunny can sleep on the bed whenever he wants, but not under the covers.
- The bunny can sleep under the covers by invitation only.
- The bunny can sleep under the covers every night.
- Humans must ask permission to sleep under the covers with the bunny.

What's Up

Here a little rundown on what we've been doing lately:
- Zach is finishing up an Irish dialect class. He had passed on a couple of auditions that required Irish and decided it was time to learn it once and for all. He sounds great.
- We are both currently in a networking bootcamp. It is a five week course taught by a woman who specializes in coaching people in creative fields. It's like a crash course in business for actors, writers, etc who don't know the first thing about business. We're learning a lot.
- I am in a show called Attraction/Logic that is being billed as a "performance event." Fifteen different artist from various fields got together and made a performance piece. We opened last week and have our final show this week. Here is a little article about it if you want to read more. Heck, I'll even throw in a teaser video.
- We spend a lot of time watching the bunnies.

And Zach's voiceover agents have scheduled a meeting with him to talk about his branding and web presence. He doesn't have a site up yet, but after the meeting I'm sure he'll be getting a great site with all kinds of goodies like demos and photos. I'll post when it's up!

On Friday, I worked on the tv show "ER." It was my smallest tv role yet, but as always I had a good time and absorbed a lot just from being there and watching people work. I am constantly amazed at all of the details there are to consider for television. The scene I was in was a crowd scene with a ton of people moving into and out of the space. Coordinating who goes where when and who carries what bag and hold the paper in your hand with the less busy side toward the camera and block that restroom sign with a plant and tuck the hair behind your ear on one side so your face can be seen better and don't start speaking until so and so steps to the left and there is a glare on the side of that chair from the lights that are focused on something else and make sure you all keep your footsteps light and have that guy move a seat to his left because his collar is in the way. So much stuff! I love watching the director and the camera crew work it all out.

Welcome Home

Let it be known that February 3rd, 2009, two sweet bunnies came to live with us in what is known in the animal adoption world as their "forever home." We saw this bonded pair of buns at an animal shelter open house in October and have been thinking of them ever since. BunnyLuv Rabbit Resource Center is a nonprofit, no kill shelter that only works with bunnies. We used to board Leroy there when we went out of town, and its a great center. The people there really know their buns, and they're quite choosy about letting people adopt. In addition to filling out an adoption form, they actually sent a member to our apartment for a home visit to insure that everything was going to be safe for them here; no exposed cords and cables, no poisonous plants, plenty of space, etc. We passed with flying colors, and are happy to welcome...
Ewok and Henry!
This is Ewok. She is a dwarf rabbit and is very round and cute, and has the best little ears. She is very active and curious, but she doesn't venture out unless Henry leads the way. She has been working on a serious project with the green towel this morning, getting it all bunched up just the way she wants it. And the girl has an appetite.
And here is Henry. He is an handsome fellow, and is Ewok's protector. If you are giving attention to Ewok, he comes over the check out the situation and make sure everything is ok. We knew he was settling in when he did a classic bunny flop onto his side and stretched out last night. His ears stand up but are a little flopsy; sometimes he lets them go in different directions.
They are both about four years old and were favorites at the shelter. Everyone there wanted to say goodbye to them yesterday, and when I told them that they were welcome to call and check on them, they were elated.
Having 2 is so fun! I'm loving watching them interact. They are sweet to each other and will groom each other and cuddle. Look! How am I ever going to get anything done with so much bunny sweetness in the room?
I am proud of the bunny condo that I built for them. I got supplies from Home Depot and with the help of an online guide, I built a three story condo, complete with a plastic floor for easy clean up and marble squares to help them keep cool. They have lots of toys, and I can tell we'll need plenty to keep them occupied. They are busy buns!
End of the Tour

...we still had to drive back to Knoxville and then get a ride to the Atlanta airport. When we got into Knoxville on the 2nd, Mom and Christina has made dinner and some amazing panda birthday cupcakes.
Thanks to all who helped make our tour a great one. We had so much fun at every stop along the way, and are glad we could make such an adventure out of our holidays this year.

Stop Seven: Myrtle Beach. The Masterpauls and The Davis'
They've got a great house that they're doing a lot of custom work on, and it looks great. It helps that Vincent is quite the handy man and can build custom cabinets, etc, and Amanda has everything looking great. We had a good time seeing the place and hanging out with the gang there.
Two other creatures live there as well. Lavinia the one-eyed cat became my buddy, and new puppy Nero was a heart breaker. So well behaved and so sweet. Everyone wanted some love from Nero. Megan and Stephen are getting a pup this year, so they were especially smitten with him.
They have a big enclosed back porch where we spent a lot of time playing fuze ball and cards. Vincent made lots of veggie friendly snacks. Zach and his dad agreed to a vegetarian stint beginning on January 1st, so Zach gobbled up one last chicken finger at 12:59.
On New Years day we went for a round of mini golf, and then stopped a Krispy Kreme to thaw out. Amanda and Stephen share a birthday on January 6th, and since mine is the 1st, we had a birthday cake that night and celebrated.
And that was the end of our official Seven City Tour! But we still had one last stop...
